So things are finally beginning to fall into place for us here in California. I suppose that means I may have jumped the gun a little bit by deciding I hated California so early on. Don't get me wrong, it's still extremely bizarre here. It's just now since everything doesn't seem to be working against me I can finally enjoy what good there is. I've been working my butt off. It's difficult trying to manage both Matt and I's schedule around getting the kids where they need to be but we are managing. Khyler absolutely loves his elementary school and is really enjoying kindergarten. Lynaya just started at a new school today. It's in Morgan hill which is about a ten minute drive from our house. It's called Kiddie Academy, and is absolutely wonderful. The last place we had her in we enrolled her simply because it was inexpensive and she could start right away which was necessary since i had to start work. Needless to say, we got what we paid for and neither her nor Khyler enjoyed it at all. (khyler goes after school on days when we both work late) So its nice seeing Lynaya in a great place with good people and knowing that she is going to get a good jump start on her education! She also really needs the daily structure on a weekly basis.
On another note, we finally purchased our tickets to Vegas!! We go the 27th and it's coming so quick! I am so excited to be there with Jen on her special day. She is truly the kindest, most remarkable woman I know in so many ways. I love her dearly! She has such a warm, loving, and kind soul and I strive to be more like her! She really holds such a sacred spot in my heart. And Mike is just absolutely wonderful as well. I am so honored and grateful to know these two. Every moment I've witnessed of them has been a shining example of love in its purest form. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for my two amazingly great friends.
Matt and I are going to see Dave at the shoreline amphitheater this Sunday! I am so super excited! We had a mini Dave at the gorge showing from our living room on Saturday night in honor of labor day weekend. I naturally had a breakdown for about 30 minutes just because of all the memories it brought up and thinking of all that has happened and changed since. Dave will always be my most favorite musician in the world, and as time goes on more and more meaning attaches to it.
